What to Avoid Before Closing

Between preapproval and closing, your financial profile is re-verified. New debt, job changes, large unexplained deposits and moving money between accounts are the most common causes of last-minute problems on an otherwise clean Phoenix-area file.

What to know

  • Do not open new credit accounts or finance a vehicle.
  • Do not change jobs or income structure without telling your loan officer first.
  • Do not make large undocumented deposits or cash transfers.
  • Do not close existing accounts or pay off collections without guidance.
  • Do tell Jim about anything unusual before it becomes a condition.
